Michelle Morris was the first to take me up on my Bay Area August sliding-scale family portrait sale. Her and her husband Aaron and the kiddos Desmond and Cecilia toughed it out through an abnormally humid day in Berkeley. Such cutie pies! Book your back-to-school or family portraits now!
I haven’t seen my best friend Tasha’s nephews since they were kids, but now that they’re grown, they’re the perfect subjects for an evening shoot.
The little Miss is back at Tilden Park.
I’ve recently moved back to the Bay Area and I’m excited to spend time with my beloved Ali and her kids Tristan and Emilie. There is so much nature to explore and so little time.
I’ve recently moved to the Bay Area and I’m offering sliding-scale discounts on family & pet shoots, back-to-school & Senior shoots and professional headshots all for $50-$150. I can come to you and I’ll wear a mask and socially distance from you. Book now though August 31st!
A new talent alert with the lovely Emily Handy.
There is so much to say about current events, but there's also far more listening to be done. Juneteenth is a celebration of freedom, love and justice, even if enjoyed far too late. The connection, the sense of purpose, the renewed sense of passion, it was all here at the steps of Los Angeles City Hall on June 19th, demanding change to the status quo, demanding that blacks lives be respected equally to white lives, demanding our voices be heard. Thanks to everyone who organized this jubilee and thank you to speaker Ciera Foster and Black Lives Matter for the brilliant words. It’s been a difficult year to say the least and seeing the senseless murder of George Floyd spark protests across the country is truly the microcosmic story of America as a whole. I’ve always considered my work to be inclusive and rooted in progressive values, but I felt that I needed to see for myself what was happening in my own backyard and help be a part of the solution. I marched with as small group of protesters for about an hour before the police blocked off all exits and began arresting every person present. I was able to escape into a nearby hotel lobby and avoid being hauled off, but I saw the police offer no solutions, no alternative, no compromise. I understand that they are dealing with crime, mental illness and the effects of poverty every day, however, there was something distinctly fascistic about their corralling of bodies for simply exercising their right to free speech and free assembly. Keep loving each other and donate your time, energy and money to the organizations that help their communities. RIP George Floyd #blacklivesmatter
