By pure happenstance, I happen to be in Westminster Plaza in London during the second Friday of the Youth Global Climate Strike Protest. I had missed the one in LA, so I was so stoked to catch one overseas. The youth (some as young as 9 years old) and their teachers had skipped school to protest what is the defining problem of our time. It was tear-jerking to see what can happen when the children give up on the politicians and take matters into their own hands. Not even that famous English rain could keep them off the streets!
