So humbled and beyond words for being invited to shoot Dita Von Teese New Year's Eve Gala Event at the historic Orpheum Theater in DTLA's Theater District earlier this week.

This was something for the record books with jaw-dropping magic acts, incredible feature performances, vintage burlesque, music, glamour and a lot of skin, all under the historic Art Nouveau of The Orpheum.

𝓚𝓘𝓜𝓑𝓔𝓡 𝓑𝓘𝓡𝓣𝓗𝓓𝓐𝓨 (12/14/19)

Ok, people, for real though: marching bands need to become a required part of any celebration. Birthday party? Marching band. Wedding? Marching band. Funeral? A marching band dressed in black. When @shiver_me_kimber had her birthday last week, one of her many friends surprised her (and all of us) with a New Orleans Brass Band ( @mjsbrassboppers ) who barhopped with us around Oakland....aaaaand now I'm hooked. 🎷🎺🥁

The 42nd" “Occasional” Pasadena Doo Dah Parade is where the weird go to play It's a spoof on the Rose Parade where anything goes. Thanks to everyone who helps put this on every year!

One of Iggy Pop’s favorite bands Death Valley Girls take their glam-influenced live show to a new level, with lots of crowd work, mini-lovefests, Stevie-Nicks-meets-Black-Sabbath outfits, a smoke machine working overtime and a raucous devil-may-care attitude. Along with openers Kate Clover and Crocodiles, it was a night full of punk love and wild babes.

𝕋𝕙𝕖 𝕄𝕚𝕕𝕟𝕚𝕘𝕙𝕥 ℍ𝕠𝕦𝕣 :: 𝕁𝕒𝕔𝕜 𝕎𝕒𝕥𝕖𝕣𝕤𝕠𝕟 (11/21/19)

The MIdnight Hour brought the Harlem Renaissance to Los Angeles this Thursday at The Lodge Room in Highland Park. An upscale jazz ensemble with a jolt of funk, R&B and hip-hop, this 10-piece band is the brainchild of multi-instrumentalists and producers Adrian Younge and A Tribe Called Quest’s Ali Shaheed Muhammad.
